Shady Job System Requirements

Use this page as a hardware tool before you promise a friend you will be on the site on September 10, 2026. Shady Job is a Steam PC release from GAZE IN GAMES (app 4190710). It is 1–4 player online co-op. Local split-screen is not listed. Price is not listed. This page does not guess a price, a Steam Deck rating, or a magic settings slider. It compares your box to the posted minimum and recommended specs, then helps you choose play at launch, wait for patches, or upgrade one part.

Playtests ended August 31, 2026. Those sessions do not replace a spec check. A crew that wipes because the bag woke up is comedy. A crew that wipes because one PC cannot hold a physics scene is just a wasted evening. Pair this tool with the launch checklist so drivers and downloads are not the last surprise.

Minimum specs

These are the floor Steam posted. Treat them as “the game should boot and run,” not as “Floor 13 will look pretty while four people collapse a crane.”

Notes that people skip: 64-bit is not optional. DirectX 12 is not optional. 10 GB is the install budget Steam listed, not a promise that shader caches, recordings, and four-player voice overlays will fit on a 12 GB partition. If you are on 8 GB RAM, close the browser zoo before you invite three friends.

A GTX 1050 Ti or RX 560 is a last-generation (for this list) bar. If your GPU is below that line, this tool’s answer is wait or upgrade, not “it might be fine.” Physics clutter — toilets, barrels, unstable blocks, industrial fans — is the whole joke of the game. That joke costs GPU time.

Recommended is the comfort line for a 4-player physics scene, not a flex sheet.

Windows 11 is recommended, not a hard lock. If you are stable on 64-bit Windows 10 and you meet CPU/GPU/RAM, you still sit on the minimum-plus side of the fork, not in a banned zone. 16 GB RAM is the change that matters for a lot of “minimum GPU, messy desktop” boxes: the extra headroom is for OS, Steam, overlay, and voice, not for a secret ultra preset this wiki does not have.

RTX 3060 / RX 6600 XT is one clean generation above the minimum GPU. If you are between 1050 Ti and 3060 (a 1660, a 2060, an RX 580), you are in judgment territory: likely playable, not recommended. Do not invent a preset. Cap expectations, update the driver, and be willing to lower whatever options exist on day one.

CPU gap is real but smaller than the GPU gap for this genre. If your processor is an i5-8400 and your GPU is a 3060, you are closer to recommended than a 3600X paired with a 560. If both are minimum, you can still clock in — just do not be the player who also streams, records, and hosts a browser full of walkthrough tabs on the same 8 GB.

Steam Deck, laptops, and unknowns

Steam Deck: unknown. This wiki will not copy a guessed Proton rating or an unverified FPS clip. If Valve or GAZE IN GAMES later posts a Deck status, this page will change. Until then, do not promise a handheld session to a 4-player crew.

Laptops: match the GPU name, not the sticker. An “RTX 3060 laptop” is not the desktop 3060. Use it as near recommended, watch thermals, not as a clone of the table. Minimum laptop 1050 Ti-class boxes should expect heat and a need to sit on power, not battery, for physics chaos.

macOS / Linux: Steam’s posted table is Windows. Do not treat this page as a Proton or Apple Silicon green light.

Decision fork: upgrade versus wait

Work top to bottom. Stop at the first match.

1. No 64-bit Windows 10/11, or no DirectX 12 GPU. Wait. This is not a “lower shadows” problem.
2. GPU below 1050 Ti / RX 560. Wait or upgrade the GPU. Do not buy RAM first.
3. GPU at 1050 Ti / RX 560, RAM at 8 GB, CPU at i5-8400 / 2600. You meet minimum. Play at launch if the crew is patient. Skip recording. Read the launch checklist so the driver is current. If money exists for one part, RAM to 16 GB is the quiet upgrade; GPU toward 3060 / 6600 XT is the visible one.
4. GPU between minimum and recommended, 16 GB RAM. Play. You are the judgment band. Keep expectations honest if four players start collapsing scaffolds on screen at once.
5. At or above recommended. You are not the bottleneck. Go assign seats in the squad planner and stop shopping.

If launch week patches change the table, watch patch notes and updates. Do not rerun this fork off a rumor.

What specs will not save

A 3060 will not make a 4-player crew gentle with the bag. It will not thaw ice. It will not assign a Carrier. Hardware only buys a stable frame while someone else fails the body bag rules. If your PC is fine and your sessions are not, the next tool is the squad planner, not a new graphics card.
