Shady Job Guides Hub
Carry, build, climb, and bury — every how-to on this wiki.
Shady Job is a 1–4 player online co-op physics adventure from GAZE IN GAMES. You play construction workers hired by the mafia to haul a body bag to the top of an unfinished skyscraper and bury it in concrete. The body is not dead. It fights back. The Steam launch is September 10, 2026. This hub is the map of every how-to on the wiki: first clock-in, HUD, party setup, bag control, site building, the Plunger Gun, route strategy, and a launch-week preview.
Read the pages in the order below if nobody on the crew has seen the site. Jump to a single mechanic if you already know the pitch and only need the procedure. Every child page here interlinks with the others; none of them is a dump of unconfirmed key binds or invented item stats.
Getting Started
The Getting Started brief is the day-one plan. Wishlist the Steam page, check system requirements, pick a crew of one to four, and learn the grab-build-climb-bury loop so the first session is a job instead of a sightseeing tour. It also points at what to open next once the bag is on a ledge.
Controls and HUD
The controls page sticks to what official screenshots show: a green bar at the bottom left, two hotbar slots labeled 1 and 2, and Plunger Gun overlays for Shoot, Pull / Release, and Drop. It does not invent keyboard binds. Confirm those in the in-game settings when the title unlocks, and use Steam Input if you bring a controller.
Co-op
Co-op covers online play for one to four people, why Steam does not list local split-screen, how playtest friend invites worked, and how to recover a teammate after a fall. Pair it with the squad planner and the roles page when you assign who carries, who builds, and who watches the ledges.
Punchy Bag
The developers nicknamed the cargo Punchy Bag. The body bag guide is the handling manual: how it struggles, escapes, breaks structures, shoves people off ledges, and gets meaner if you treat it roughly. Read it before anyone on the crew treats the bag like a sandbag.
Building
Building is the site manual. Unstable bridges, collapse from one bad block, cranes and moving platforms, breakable walls and windows, painted floor numbers, and physics props used as ramps. If the path fails, the bag does not wait politely on the last solid tile.
Plunger Gun
The Plunger Gun is the climb, yank, and rescue tool. That page stays on confirmed on-screen prompts and screenshot loadouts — including an industrial fan sitting in hotbar slot 2 — without inventing damage numbers or secret combos.
Walkthrough
The walkthrough is route strategy for the Level 1 loop and playtest Level 2, not a room-by-room puzzle dump. It compares bag-first versus path-first, flags ice and electric hazards called out by press, and ends at the roof bury.
Site hazards
The site hazards page is the survival brief: ice freeze, electric floors reported in press screenshots, falls, collapsing spans, and how the Plunger Gun and first-aid props fit a rescue without inventing item stats.
Items and props
Items and props catalogs what official shots actually show in hotbar slots 1 and 2 — sandwich, industrial fan — plus toilets, barrels, first aid kits, and fire extinguishers. No fake DPS.
Play with friends
How to play with friends is the Steam party page: 1–4 online co-op, no listed split-screen, and playtest-era invite rules marked as history, not as a launch promise.
Preview
Because Shady Job is still upcoming, the preview is a first look from trailer, playtest notes, and press — not a scored review. It places the game next to Peak and Dear Passengers and talks honestly about the short-session friendslop risk.
Around this hub
Launch timing lives on the release date page. Playtest waves, Punchy Bag naming, and LEVEL 2 notes are in the playtest recap. After September 10, 2026, watch patch notes. Role rankings and tactics sit under the tier list hub. Hardware, party planning, and a day-one list are in tools. Store and social URLs are collected on links.
A four-stack should split reading: carrier on the bag page, builder on the site page, rescuer on the Plunger Gun page, and the caller on co-op plus the walkthrough. A solo or duo should start at Getting Started and only then open the mechanic pages that actually blocked the last attempt.
