Shady Job Tools Hub
Hardware check, crew seats, and a pre-launch list — not calculators with fake item stats.
This hub holds the three player tools on the Shady Job wiki. They are practical pages you open with a friend on voice, not essays about the Punchy Bag. Use them while the game is still upcoming: Steam launch is September 10, 2026, playtests ended August 31, 2026, and GAZE IN GAMES has not posted a price.
If you want how-to pages, leave this hub and go to Guides. If you want S/A/B jobs, go to the tier list. If you want store links, go to links. Stay here when the question is “can this PC run it,” “who holds the bag,” or “what do we finish before September 10.”
The three tools
System requirements — Steam PC minimum and recommended specs in tables. Windows 10/11, 64-bit, DirectX 12, 10 GB storage, 8 GB versus 16 GB RAM, GTX 1050 Ti / RX 560 versus RTX 3060 / RX 6600 XT. Steam Deck is unknown. Use it to decide upgrade versus wait, not to invent a settings preset we have not seen.
Squad planner — 2-player, 3-player, and 4-player templates. Who is Carrier, who is Builder, who holds the Plunger Gun, who flexes on ice and fans. Callouts and a 60-second briefing. It is a clipboard, not another role essay. Ranks that feed it live on co-op roles.
Launch checklist — Pre-September 10 chores: wishlist, GPU driver, friends list, mic, Getting Started, role assignment, bag rules. Timing context lives on the release date page.
Open them in that order if you have an hour: hardware, seats, chores. Open them in reverse if launch is tomorrow and the PC already runs other DX12 games.
What this hub will not become
No damage calculator. No invented SANDWICH healing table. No fake keybind overlay beyond the plunger prompts already visible in screenshots (SHOOT, PULL/RELEASE, DROP). Shady Job is a Steam PC co-op adventure, 1–4 players online. Local split-screen is not listed.
HUD facts we will keep repeating because they help a squad planner: green bar on screen, slots 1 and 2, item names SANDWICH and INDUSTRIAL FAN, ice freeze, physics props (toilet, barrel), Floor 13 as a callout landmark, bag as taped black cargo. Those are screenshot facts. They are not tool outputs.
Who each tool is for
The friend on a 1050 Ti should live in system requirements. Minimum lists that card. Recommended steps up a generation. The page’s job is a go / wait / upgrade fork, plus a reminder that 10 GB and DX12 are not optional footnotes.
The friend who always grabs the gun and the bag should live in the squad planner. Two objects, two people, every party size. Carrier is not a personality. It is a seat.
The friend who will forget to wishlist should live in the launch checklist. Steam notify beats a group chat at midnight. Drivers beat a day-one crash. A mic beats typing “ice” while someone is already sliding.
If all three friends are the same person, you are playing solo-shaped co-op. That is allowed — Steam lists 1–4 — but you still use the same tools: confirm the PC, pick which jobs you will simulate as one body, and run the checklist so launch morning is not an update queue.
How tools connect to guides
Tools do not replace controls, body bag, building, or Plunger Gun. They assume you will read those once. The squad planner links roles; it does not teach you how to stack unstable blocks. The launch checklist tells you to read Getting Started; it does not reprint the whole beginner path. The system requirements page will not guess Steam Deck performance.
When you are done here, a sensible loop is: checklist → walkthrough for route intent → strategy tiers for pace. If a patch lands after launch, add patch notes to that loop. Playtest history sits on the playtest page if you need to know what already ended.
Launch-week order of operations
Seven days out: system requirements with every PC in the party, then wishlist via links. Three days out: squad planner seats, including who holds plunger versus bag. One day out: launch checklist, driver, mic test, reread bag rules. Morning of September 10: do not renegotiate jobs in the Steam overlay while the bag is already awake. That argument belongs on this hub before you clock in, which is the only reason these three pages are tools instead of more guides.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What tools does this Shady Job wiki actually have?
Three: system requirements, the squad planner, and the launch checklist. No stat calculators and no fake item DPS.
Should I check my PC or assign roles first?
Hardware first if anyone is on a GTX 1050 Ti-class card. Seats first if every PC already runs DirectX 12 games and you are only arguing about the bag.
Is there a Steam Deck tool?
No verified Deck rating is posted here. The requirements page marks Steam Deck as unknown. Do not treat a wishlist as a handheld guarantee.
Do these tools work for solo players?
Yes. Steam lists 1–4 online co-op. Solo still uses the PC check and the launch checklist. The squad planner’s 2-player row is what you emulate when you are one body doing two jobs.
Where do official store links live?
On the links hub. This Tools hub does not replace the Steam page; it only prepares PCs, seats, and launch-week chores.
